I have been the pastor of Sharon Baptist Church, Olathe, Kansas for almost 18 years, and am 60 years old. That says a couple of things about me. One, I am old, at least for the blogging world! Two, I have experience, according to almost anyone. I hope the combination of those two things gives me insight and wisdom that will have application for a variety of people.
I realize that this is going out to the world, but I do not have any thoughts that the world will see or read it. How many thousands must have thought and even written the same words. So why write them?
First, I write these things down because I hope others can profit from them in some way if they by some chance happen to read them. Sometimes I have, sometimes I have not.
Second, it gives me a way to process my own thoughts. From that I hope to grow. Yes, even at my age!
Third, if anyone does read this, and has any thoughts regarding what I might write, I would be both honored and blessed by your response, especially if it in some way contributes to my own growth and development.
